There may be a back story here to excuse the owners of these dogs.
But over 50,000 people on the internet who have shared this picture are ready to get out the torches and pitchforks to go after them.
Rescue workers found these six dogs just in time. They were found abandoned in a locked cage in Leland, North Carolina, as flood waters rose.
In the clip, the trapped dogs can be seen standing on their hind legs behind the cage, barking and whimpering for help. When the rescue workers unlock the cage, all six swim for safety, the water nearly covering their bodies.
The rescuer wrote:
“Rescued six dogs in Leland, NC, after the owner LEFT THEM locked in an outdoor cage that filled with flood water that was rapidly rising. We got them out, but by the time we left, the water was so high that they would have drowned.
“BRING YOUR PETS WITH YOU!” he added.
I'm not going to judge this particular situation, as we don't know all the details, something could have happened to the owners. But in many cases, where dogs/cats/horses/etc were left behind, the owners just did not bother to make sure their pets were safe. That is so sad, and breaks my heart.

I can't imagine leaving them behind to die. What a shame.
Have a fabulous day, my friend. ♥

I like to know all the details before I judge someone. Who knows, they could've died themselves? My point is that when a monster storm is coming your way, you need to do what you can to get your family (and that includes pets) into the safest place possible. They had days to react to this storm. Sitting on your hands for days and then running away isn't the best choice.

YES! Take your animals with you! ALL OF THEM! If you have time to get yourself out you have time to take all your live animals and people with you!!!

Thank God they got there in time. I hope those people are never allowed to have dogs again

Naturally the image is heartbreaking but I don't want to speculate and judge as to the circumstances surrounding this horrific situation. I'm just glad they were rescued in time.

Now, here is the problem with following you on Facebook. I know I read this, and I know I commented.
Unless the owner is dead, there is no excuse. In the post I read, he knew who the owner was, he indicated 'she' and he wasn't releasing 'her' name. Let me at that bitch.
