The poor guys dont have a chance against advertising and a pretty girl. lol

I was never big on diamonds when we first got married. We had nice gold bands and I was fine with that. Over the years, my poor husband has fallen for the diamond marketing. I prefer gold, so he's combined them with several gold earrings studded with diamonds and a necklace with three diamonds in a vertical row... top one represents the past, the second one the present, and the third one represents the future. Good marketing works.

I used to wear lots of diamonds. Now I just wear my wedding band. I do love diamonds though.

Have a terrific day. ☺

I love diamonds, but not as much as Rose Quartz...I know, I'm strange!

Another great interesting post. I have a diamond weddibg/engagement band. We used the same ring for both. Honestly I prefer bakelite. If I was getting married now. I might pick a plain band and then ask for a nice vintage bakelite bauble. Like one of the pricey 1940s dog brooches

I thought the phrase was going to be "Diamonds are a girl's best friend." Funny enough, the older I get, the less jewelry I wear.

I'd rather vintage Bakelite then a diamond any day
