That is just plain nasty.

Maybe the breeder didn't want to come right out and say she didn't want to pass on those issues genetically to future dogs? Wonder if "beau jangles" has the same issues and had his jangles removed too.

Frozen semen? Whose job was it to get the semen? Are there doggy porn sites? We need to know more about this.

Me thinks the breeder is J.E.A.L.O.U.S!

If you have seen the movie Best In Show, it pretty much exposes how many people in the dog show circuits behave. (It is a hilarious movie) While I know many superb handlers and owners, many of not very nice. I found it to be a very political atmosphere and stopped participating. I still enjoy watching them.

What a horrible thing to do to a dog -- unnecessary surgery -- just to get even. UGH!---Wags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats

I hope there was a contract! Lol!

Something isn't right. Reputable breeders cover every bit of this in their contract. Whether the person has a right to breed the dog, who retains the sperm, everything!

And no, I've never heard of neutering helping with any of those 'issues.'

Sounds like the breeder wanted the dog's sperm and that if she wasn't going to profit, no one else would either. I think neutering and spaying are good things unless you plan to breed the animal.
