Great idea. I'm glad somebody's thinking ;)

Jackie Bouchard

We used a service like this long ago when we lived in Philly. Our beagle hated traditional kennels (I took her to tour one and she was completely freaked out by just the tour!) so luckily we found this service that had a network of retired folks and stay at home moms and students who they'd trained/vetted. They were all dog lovers looking to make a little extra money on the side. It worked great! This was pre interent/camera phone days so we didn't get constant updates, but we got a lovely report and pics of her at the home she stayed in when we got back. Smart of these folks to turn that into a "big" idea.

Neat idea. Sounds like everyone/everydog wins.

Foley Monster, Pocket and River Song

That is a great idea. That is something we would be interested in if we traveled

This is an excellent idea!!!

That's a great idea!

It is a great idea. I'm going to check them out. BTW, I wish I'd thought of it too. :-D

I have a friend who is a dog vacay host. She's awesome and I'd be happy to have her take care of any dog of mine. But I wonder if she's the exception or the rule.

I would think like any business, if the hosts don't get repeat business, referrals, and good reviews, they won't survive as a business
