I remember when I was a kid, some local hunters knocked on our door around 10:00. Their coonhound had treed a raccoon on our property, and they wanted permission to kill it. What a dog--it kept the raccoon in the tree for long enough for the person to leave, find our house, knock on our door, and talk to my mom.

What an interesting event. I sometimes worry about hunting dogs--esp. when I see those trucks with the metal boxes in back for holding dogs--but these coonhounds sound like they have fun.
