i'd hate to say what those same elvis critics would say about some of today's 'gyrations'.

I think you're right. Elvis seems almost wholesome compared to some of the crotch grabbing gyrations of todayl

I agree with you and Tex...Elvis is tame.

I never knew much about Elvis! Great that he was a dog lover.

I was thinking the same thing about what critics would say about some of today's moves!

Jackie Bouchard

Ah, the more things change the more they stay the same... I guess I'm guilty of being a middle aged person and complaining about the twerking and crotch-grabbing that goes on today. (Of HUGE stars.) It makes it quick scary to think what those huge stars 50 years from now will be doing to "shock" the middle-aged crowd. Yikes!!

The King has left the building but his legend lives on. :)

Crazy Dog Life

He was way before his time in alot of ways. It is disturbing to think how each generation gets a bit lewder. Elvis is absolutely tame by today's standards! What will they think of next to shock the masses?

Foleymonster, Pocket and River SOng

All the nay-sayers ended up looking pretty foolish

Reading all of the criticisms made me giggle.

Elvis said after the show he didn't know what they were going to do and was highly pissed.

I'll take his gyrations over any of the stuff I'm seeing today. :-(
