Relay was found in Queens, New York. No one will ever know how she got hundreds of miles from home.
Thanks to the tracking technology of a microchip, a rescue group, Strays Pet Rescue, was able to locate her owners and bring her all the way back to her family in south Florida.
It took 22 hours for a wonderful group of volunteers to drive Relay from New York to Florida.
It was immediately clear to everyone that the dog-human bond had survived time and distance.
