My own dogs bring lots of comfort in my life. They keep me from becoming depressed. They make me laugh all the time. Not what people would call heroes but certainly my champions. Will be anxious to learn the five winners:-)

I wish I could nominate my Elke, but all she does is make our life brighter and happier with her daily antics. It's a bit mundane for an award, but she's our hero dog. I look forward to hearing about the winners.
