Rhino Lightning, a 3-year-old brindled Boxer mix, arrived at the Utah Humane Society with a notepad full of messages from a one-time human family member.
It seems the dog was being surrendered because he was too rough with some of the younger kids in the house and is unaware of his size.
But one of the older children wanted the new family to know all about Rhino Lightning and brought a notebook full of information for his new family.
The note writer asks that Rhino's new family make sure he's safe.
I love and miss him.
He is a very amazing puppy/ striped dream/ likes sleeping under the blankets/ loves people/ being able to run around.
His cheeks make a lot of slobber.
Rhino doesn't like water or snow/ isn't too fond of cats.
Take him on at least 2 or 3 runs a day.
The child asks the new owners to keep his name the same and add their last name.
Rhino is available for adoption by families with children eight years and older. Photocopies of his owner's manual will go with him. Rhino has many families interested in adopting him.
The child has a brilliant career ahead in advertising and marketing.
