Those of you of a certain age will remember mood rings. Some clever entrepreneur discovered how to get women to spend money on a really ugly-ass ring and a piece of paper that was a “mood chart.” Different colors represented her different moods.
I don’t know why someone would need a ring to tell her what mood she was in. I didn’t have one. I was too busy playing with my Pet Rock.
The Inupathy collar is sort of like a mood ring to tell you what your dog’s mood is. Developed by Joji Yamaguchi, a biologist in Japan, he hopes to help you better understand your dog’s emotions.
Have you spent a lot of time wondering about the emotions of your dog? Neither have I. My dogs are not subtle in letting me know how they feel and they have this gadget already attached, called a tail.
The Inupathy is not on the market yet but pre-orders sold for $169.
