So Taco Bell is trying to get some of the market share from the MacDonald's fast food breakfast bunch in their newest campaign.
In their commercials they have a lot of ordinary men named Ronald McDonald who all like Taco Bell breakfasts better than McDonald's because, you know...it's a Taco Bell commercial.
The picture above is McDonald's answering volley. The message is clear to most people over 20.
Although she hasn't been the company spokesdog since 2000, the Taco Bell Chihuahua, was an icon of the twentieth century. And her fans are still pissed that not only was she fired at the height of her popularity after only three years, but the company may have equivocated about their reasons for dumping her.
They blamed her, saying that she wasn't selling tacos for them.
However... A breach of contract (and ethics) lawsuit was filed in 1998 by two men charging the company with failing to pay for the use of a talking Chihuahua character they had worked for over a year to develop.
A jury agreed and awarded the men more than $30 million.
Welcome back, Taco Bell dog
