I adore that picture! So lovely! And such a wonderful reminder, as you said, that babies and dogs belong together in a family!

Dennis the Vizsla

hello jan its dennis the vizsla dog hay hmm it luks like the baby is giving sum sort of advice to lupo but i do not think lupo wants to take it!!! ok bye

It looks to me like Lupo is just this side of whale eye, and head back, recoiled from the baby but prevented by William from a full retreat.

I feel dogs and babies can coexist. But in each others' faces is a bad plan. The baby looks happy, anyway, and not terribly grabby.

I think it's a great picture and a great statement, but I'm sure someone will miss that point and ruin it by saying that the dog is too close to the baby. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

The child loves that dog!!! Best Friends forever!

It depends on the baby and the dog. A dog is more likely than a cat to put up with an awful lot of torment from a baby or small child. There are no assurances, however, and supervision is a must.

BTW this photo is precious.

What a great photo!

I'm so happy my family always had at least one dog while I was growing up. It made childhood a little easier!

really a sweet picture.

I love how George and Lupo are looking at each other like, "Really, I can't believe they are making us pose for this picture."
