Two dog sexuality stories you’ll find hard to believe

You may have heard the story of the man in Tennessee who recently took his male Pit Bull mix to a high kill shelter after watching him mount another male dog. He didn’t want a gay dog.

Fortunately the dog was adopted by someone with a brain and a sense of humor and renamed “Elton.”

In the world of dogs, dogs mount dogs. It's what dogs do. Even spayed female and neutered males will often try to hump other dogs of any sex, cats, pillows, stuffed toys and human legs. It isn't a sexual thing, it’s a dominance thing... or maybe they’re just bored and enjoy grossing out humans.

A sadder story comes out of China where Tibetan Mastiffs have become big status symbols, often priced higher than mansions or sports cars.

A Chinese man is suing his veterinarian for $140,000 USD after his Mastiff died during a facelift that was supposed to make him “more attractive” to females.

According to the South China Post, the man who goes by Yu said:

The skin of my dog's head was very flabby, so I wanted to cut part of his forehead and straighten the skin. And also in this way, his hair would look longer as the rear part of the head will have more hair.

Sadly the 2-year-old dog suffered complications during this major, but totally unnecessary cosmetic surgery and now the man wants to be fully compensated for the value of the dog.

China is the only place I've seen dog pelts for sale. German shepard pelts to be precise.

I heard about the gay dog. I have one word for his previous owner: Karma.

As for the dog with the facelift, I think that the owner should be fined and banned from having any other pets. Why would you put an animal through an unnecessary surgery?

holy shit..that's some kinda stupid..I saw the Tibetan Mastiff at the dog show and had never seen one before..so googled them and was very interested in their history..and mentioned it on facebook and one of my friends used to have one..said they are not easy dogs to own.
