I don't know what the link they are sending is.
Someone seems to have too much time to waste.

When people are getting DMs from you that you didn't send, it usually means your account has been hacked. Time to change your password.

I, too, got hit by the hacker this weekend. I clicked a link in someone's direct message (dumb) and then went totally brain-dead and "logged in" again, giving my password (dumber). The next day, my account sent direct messages to all my contacts.
Protips: Don't click links in direct messages unless you're expecting the info from a contact; don't log in in the middle of a DM, and change your password if hinky stuff starts happening.
Mom, other than a few bored individuals, Twitter still rocks. Don't stop tweeting!

I did change it,
I don't go there enough to remember what it was before I changed it.

Sorry to be dumb but WHAT is a direct message?

Not so dumb. I'm not at all familiar with Twitter. I guess it is a way to send an email through Twitter. Is this right, anyone who tweets a lot?
