I’ve always admired Martha Stewart.
So imagine the excitement to get an email telling us that we had been carefully selected to join Martha's Circle, using flattering words like artful, innovative, inspiring, excellence, passion…
Then as we read, we got to the highlighted copy.
MarthaStewart.com is growing Martha’s Circle, and we would like to invite you to join. Martha’s Circle is a network comprised of carefully selected, creative “makers” – like-minded publishers who create content that’s artful, innovative, and inspiring. We are selecting new partners who share our dedication to editorial excellence, our passion for food, home, crafts, wellness, or gardening, and who are tastemakers in their fields. We believe that your site, [site_blog name], aligns with our vision.
Do you think I should send my regrets to [domestic_diva name]?

Ha. I have done that more than once when I worked in internet marketing and forgot to supply the site name in the brackets. It's easy to do, but don't take it personally, your still artful, innovative and all those other things.

Hahaha! That's funny. Well, I'd take the flattery and go with it anyway! You deserve it!

ROFLMA - oh wait Martha probably wouldn't approve.

Oh how flattering. Not. Gotta love emails like that!

I hate getting standard emails like that. I've gotten quite a few over the years and it's so obvious they never read a single word on my blog even though they said they loved it LOL!

Oh, how funny! Well, for me. It must have been kind of a letdown to get to that portion of it.
But hey, I haven't gotten anything from Martha Stewart's anybody, so you do still have that distinction!

I don't think you have whimpy California dogs...my dogs are jealous. Fuzzy would LOVE to go the beach and Boomer would delight in never being cold ever again in his whole life!!!
So we all think you live in paradise!!!

LOL! I hate when that happens! You get all excited and then the punch line comes!

I would expect more from Martha, I mean really. She's a couple pine cones short of a holiday decoration on this. :-)

you make me laugh..does that help?

[site_blog name] was invited to join Martha Stewart's inner circle as well!

What bad etiquette! What would Martha say?
Posted by: Karen Friesecke | December 12, 2012 at 04:07 PM
Yeah, I'm kind of hoping it was one of her incompetent underlings that sent it out.
