Inspired by some of the wacky outfits of Lady Gaga, Lara Jo Regan, 47, a Los Angeles filmmaker, has produced a calendar starring Max the Poodle. Regan wanted to show off the 'beauty and potential' of stray animals through artwork.
Seven-year-old Max was rescued as a stray in 2008. Regan said:
'I tried to imagine what Lady Gaga might fashion herself if she were reincarnated as an aging, lethargic poodle with not much of a wardrobe budget.'
Yeah, we all were wondering about that.
This whole idea probably wouldn't have worked if Max had been
a rescued German Shepherd or Labrador.

I have to say she looks darn cute though! That meat dress is hysterical. What was she thinking? (Lady G I mean.)

The lovely poodle looks extremely happy to be wearing some of those outfits...of course not the last one...who would like to wear IT!

There is no way Bella (my 7 year old poodle) would allow that sort of carry on. I am considering buying the calendar as a form of behaviour modification therapy. I could threaten her with similar consequences if she doesn't behave!

I can only imagine what the cultural critics will say about the species and gender bending depiction.
Max certainly has as much attitude as Lady GaGa.

It looks to me like Max just out Gaga'ed the Gaga. I'm curious as to what she would think about all this. If it were me, I'd be incredibly flattered!

Is that bacon? Ha-ha! Love that!

The Fourth of July pic is pretty damn cute. But how do you get a dog to stand still with all that bacon?

Unless it's plastic, my dogs would've gone crazy at the sight of bacon, much less allowing themselves to be draped in it.
