I love an author you can trust. I can't always read Mr. Koontz because he scares the heck out of me and I am a great big chicken, but I sure do love his dogs!

Linda

AND THEY SHOULD! Adopt a dog. Any dog will do, they are all wonderful!

I get Dean's newsletter all the time and when I found out that Trixie had died, I cried like it was my own dog..but we still get letters from Trixie from the other side and that's ok..and when they adopted another golden, i was so happy for them..

Jodi

Excellent post Jan! But you forgot Sirius, Hedwig, Moony, Tonks and little Colin Creevy.

Kristine

The only book I've ever read of Koontz's is A Big Little Life and while it was a lovely story, it definitely made me cry. But in a good way. I keep menaing to read one of his novels but haven't gotten around to it yet. Thanks for the reminder!

Becky

You are just too funny. I have never read anything by Koontz. I will remedy that problem soon. What a great guy.

So true! I am a huge Dean Koontz fan and love that he includes a dog (almost always a Golden) in his novels. The three rules hold true. I actually heard him discussing Trixie on an old Coast to Coast show with Ian Punditt. He was awesome and witty and clearly loved dogs. What a ie post on him Jan.

Tammy

I also haven't read anything by Dean Koontz! I may need to remedy that after reading your post Jan! :)

I don't go out of my way to read things that will scare me. Dean Koontz is not on my regular reading list. But I enjoyed reading about Trixie in A Big Little Life.

To those of us who have had dogs forever, it's neat to watch someone falling in love for the very first time. There's nothing quite like a first dog.

Heather

I used to love his books, but have not read nay lately. I will have to pick some up. I am definitely adding Trixie's book to my list.

1,2,3. BOL. you make a very good agent for Koontz. I remember reading a couple of his books a very long time ago, but I just googled his book list and nothing seems familiar. Hmmm.

Clive

We haven't read anything by Koontz before but you can be sure we are going to now! Many thanks for sharing the information.

Your vote has been noted by the way!!! We made sure to tell Murray's Dad!!

Singa

Quite interesting and different post.

I've read many a book written by Koontz. I very much enjoyed Watchers the book, but the movie left much to be desired.
