Here Here! If you want to support shelter animals donate DIRECTLY to a shelter you like do NOT donate to HSUS or any other of those national organizations that will take their share off the top first! Besides, most shelters also have wish lists for every day items if you don't have cash to donate.

I donate to shelters or breed rescues. It's criminal, in my eyes, the way the HUSU manages its funds.

If you want to donate to your local shelter..give food, leashes, blankets, treats, colars, etc. They blow the money

Interesting information. I think that it is important to donate to animal shelters. Those animals deserve just as much love and attention as we give those living in our homes.
