The video below reminds me of a story I’ve posted before about a local obstetrician.
Dr. V. and his wife always lived fairly simply because that was their way. But when Dr. V. had his Midlife Crisis, he made two expensive purchases that he had always wanted. He bought a completely restored vintage Porsche convertible and a champion sired Great Dane.
His wife started calling the dog Crisis, which is something Great Dane owners might understand, and the name stuck.
Every evening he loaded Crisis into the passenger seat of the convertible and they drove off to a deserted road. Then he let Crisis out to run beside the Porsche.
We often wondered if he bought the Porsche to exercise the Great Dane or bought the Great Dane as an excuse to buy the Porsche.

Crisis is a pretty cool name for a dog!
I think he bought the Porsche to drive around the Great Dane. REally, it's a waste of a Porsche to just drive it around at 30 all the time (in my humble opinion). Looks like the dog loves running!

I don't get it. If you have a dog, why do you need a Porsche?

Pamela - because he's a guy! But I totally agree with you - I'd pick a dog anyday over the Porsche.

Is it an accident waiting to happen though?

Oh my goodness - perhaps he should have stuck to the usual Harley Davidson?!

People keep trying to tell me that Great Danes are just easy dogs. Just couch potatoes! they say. This dog didn't get the memo. They sure look gorgeous when they run!

Ha! That is good one. I bet he bought the Porsche to exercise the Great Dane, that's a logical reason:)

A reward for a frugal life lived.

Wow that dog can run. He's not even going flat out.

Who cares why he bought them. He deserves to make himself happy after a long, good life of service to others.
BTW I need one of those Porsches to keep our Doberman walk happy. She runs like a greyhound.
