You are the state legislator pictured on the right.
What do you do about the major tax delinquents who owe money to the state?
- Seize property
- Garnish wages
- Spend time and money to pass a law to take away their driver’s licenses so they can’t drive to work legally
What will these people probably do?
- Buy a bicycle
- Start a home based business
- Drive anyway
If you answered 3 you have probably been reading this blog.
On a note of sanity, the governor has vetoed the babysitter bill.
Laws that pass in California are often picked up by legislators across the country.
You’re welcome.

Well, thank heavens the governor vetoed the babysitter bill! Because then you'd have more people who wouldn't pay taxes, and you couldn't take their driver's licenses away because the aforementioned babysitters are only 14! Oy. :-)

Let me get this straight: they can't pay money to the state to get a drivers license? So wow!! that will show them?

Kansas is talking about decriminalizing domestic violence. How's that for a money saving idea?
Happy, Waggin' Tails, FUREVER!

Thank God the governor had some sense!! Really what kind of BS bill is that?
I'm signing off now, before the soap box comes out.

I kind of don't want to admit that we live in CA now. We're not too happy about it though, and will head back to OR as soon as we can. (In the meantime, the state sales tax is killing me! After two years of none in OR, the almost 10% here in CA is just horrifying!) :)
