Governor Brown has enlisted his Corgi, Sutter Brown, to help solve the state’s $26 billion budget deficit by pimping T-shirts and other products.
($3 per item will go into the state’s general fund.)
Sutter Brown's pretty image ("I am Sutter Brown--CA First Dog") is on T-shirts for men, women, children, toddlers, babies, and dogs.
Bibs, onesies, hoodies, pet bowls, coffee cups, water bottles, hats, caps, and tote bags are included in the Sutter line.
But wait, there’s more.
For an additional $5 per T-shirt, you can buy an organic T-shirt which is a “greener apparel choice” and “what to wear when you care about having 100% organically grown cotton next to your skin…perfect for Earth Day or every day.”
It might be noted that the organic shirt (click to magnify) is one of the few products actually made in the USA. You can tell because it says “Made in the USA” while other products give no information about the country of origin.
What? No organic cotton in China or Mexico or Sri Lanka?

Now there's an interesting solution to a financial problem ... :)
Sutter Brown looks like rather a large Corgi (or perhaps it's just the angle of that image).

I wonder if President Obama will start shilling Bo t-shirts to close the federal deficit?
