The media loves to spread stories of Pit Bull attacks, but when the attack is to protect their owner, the stories often stay local.
Police in Georgia are looking for a suspect in a kidnapping and attempted rape.
The victim was walking a Beagle when she was confronted by a man armed with a knife.
He forced her into her home then into her bedroom where he cut her hair and attempted to remove her clothing.
Her second dog, Purple the Pit Bull bit the attacker allowing her to escape and call for help from a neighbor’s house. Police have released this sketch of the attacker.

Too bad Purple didn't bite something else & rip it clean off for the police to use as forensic evidence. What a good dog!!! Thanks for posting the scumbag's photo so the world will know what a low life piece of crap looks like.

Dogs of any breed can be so incredible ... their protective and defensive capabilities are reasons why I can't ever imagine life without a dog.

a year+ ago I got an unexpected visit from a local deputy. There had been break-ins &/or vandalism in almost every property adjacent to ours in the previous months (the second time in ten years this pattern popped up) & they had come out to see what might be happening at my house that was so special. I know they were looking for teenagers-in-residence but what they found was one german shepherd & one pitbull/german shorthair mix hanging out in the family room. The deputy made a point of saying that he had big in-the-house dogs himself & considered them "better than a gun" when it comes to protecting his own home & family.

Now which dog would you rather have around in this case, the Beagle or the Pit Bull?
