As a class project in a writing class I once took we were to agree on a list of visuals that make people happy just to look at. We had to agree as a class on each of twelve items.
(We did have to put one douchebag dickhead class member in the cone of silence when he vetoed everything, so we had to modify to refer to “most people.”)
This was our list:
- A lighthouse
- The ocean
- A snowflake
- A sailboat
- A campfire
- A perfect rose
- A ripe tomato
- A windmill
- Candlelight
- An apple
- A dolphin
- Children/kittens/puppies playing

Definitely add that video to the list. It made me really happy.
And how about the moon, a full moon or a crescent moon. And cherry blossoms. Snow capped mountains. Oh, so many more. Are we not lucky that so many things can make us happy to look at?

That's so cute. Makes me want to cry since I just watched The Cove Sunday night. So cute how that dog went out and totally looked for his dolphin friend. Awww.

That's remarkable. My dog only plays with our backyard squirrel, which I think is pretty funny to watch too.

Murray loved that video so much! It was fabulous - thank you so much for making his day!
Rainbows - that's another one we would add to your list! Murray is really visual (like most autistic kids) and relates to and reacts incredibly to visual prompts - most of those you mentioned get a huge reaction from him ... we have travelled many miles to see a lighthouse or walk along the ocean. Candles he loves to so we light some every evening to relax him. And when we see a rainbow we always have a special moment!

so, in your experience a class-sized group has one person who either has no idea what happy is OR is made happy by irritating the people around him/her. That's my experience too!
& I'm sure the video is lovely but we are having trouble with our server & have been using dial-up all week & trying to watch a video that stops every few frames was not making me happy.

Sheryl Crow sez if it makes you happy, it can't be that bad.

Powdered makeup. I can't explain why but I love looking at that. I actually will watch 30 minute infomercials for it. (Prolly best I wasn't in your class.)

Fluffy white clouds against a blue sky. And certain men I won't mention in writing! I'm enjoying reading your blog!
