In Florida, 43-year-old Christopher Bishop was under his Ford F-150 checking for oil leaks. He had left the engine running and the truck in neutral.
Unfortunately he had also left the driver’s door open.
Naturally Tassey his Bulldog thought they were going for a ride. He jumped into the truck and knocked it into gear. The truck rolled over the left side of Bishop’s body.
He managed to drag himself into the house. After several hours of pain, weighing the humiliation of admitting what had happened against the possibility of impending death, he called for help.
He was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that are not considered to be life threatening. Source
Tassey will probably be barred from watching NASCAR.![Validate my Atom 1.0 feed [Valid Atom 1.0]](valid-atom.png)
Dogs and kids. Great for knocking things to where they shouldn't be.

Two things came to mind reading this...
1. That'll teach him to buy the cheap kibble. (said with snarky sarcastic inflection)
then I read down to the "several hours of pain" part...
2. Some people are not smart enough to own dogs. Or trucks. Seriously. If it takes you "several hours" after being run over to get around to calling 911, because you're embarrassed that you did something stupid, you are clearly a danger to yourself and those around you and should probably not be allowed to operate heavy machinery (such as a truck) anyway.

Meanwhile the poor dog is going to have to spend hours in traffic school to get the points off his license.

I love the part where he waited several hours in pain to call for help. This guy is a moron.

Hmm ... getting run over by your gear-shifting dog, or waiting hours to get help. Which is more humiliating?

I think having his name and the story published on the internet where it will remain until the end of time would be the most humiliating.
