Professional poop scooper goes postal over past due payment

Melinda Hofmann has owned The Bomb Squad in Bend, Oregon for ten years. Her business is always picking up…dog waste from people’s yards.

Then one day last week she snapped.

She tried to collect a past due $150 payment from customer Deborah Dillow, but Dillow wasn’t home. Instead of leaving her a note, Hofmann decided to “give her poop back.”

But then she got carried away and started flinging dog poop from her truck, 30 gallons of it, according to the police report, on Dillow’s front yard.

"Actually, once I started doing it, I kind of lost all rational thought together and I just got into this mode of emptying bags," she said. "And as I was flinging the poo all over her yard - it felt really good, and I just kept doing it." source

Hofmann was taken away in handcuffs, charged with criminal trespassing, criminal mischief and offensive littering, leaving Dillow and her neighbors to clean up the mess.

I’m thinking that after this episode Hofmann should seek employment elsewhere.

But probably not at the post office.
