My blogging friend Bev of My Fire Hydrant lost her Bichon, Bailey, in January. Bailey would have been 14 this month.
In her memory Bev is holding a first-ever online Bichon Bash and she is supporting Small Paws Rescue, a nationwide Bichon rescue that has rescued over 7500 Bichons in 11 years from shelters, puppy mills and surrenders.
She is hoping to raise $1000 for Small Paws Rescue this month and so far she is halfway there. Secure donations can be made at First Giving.
She writes:
AND I am working on a very special project as part of the online Bichon Bash. I'm putting together a video montage of Bichons! Can you imagine? ALL BICHONS? How cute is that?
So, if you are staff to a Bichon please send me a photo of your Bichon for my project. You can email to romeo (at) romeothecat (dot) com. Tell me your Bichon's name and where you live. If you have friends with Bichons, tell them to send along to me too. It's going to be awesome!

I know Bailey is in a peaceful place right now and the dog is guiding you and your family always. I will send pictures of my Francheska to help in your project. :)

I miss my bichon as well. They are absolutely wonderful dogs and have the temperaments of angels.
