Who knows what goes on in the minds of dogs?
A Cumberland County, North Carolina Sheriff’s Deputy went to investigate a call and parked his car in the woman’s driveway. While Deputy Lynn Lavallis was speaking with Gloria Bass, her Poodle proceeded to attack all four tires on the Deputy’s car, flattening each one.
You may have noticed that I typed "Poodle." It wasn't really, but have you noticed that in stories like this, the newspaper and the deputy always call the dog a "Pit Bull"?
"The dog didn't try to attack the deputy. He just doesn't like tires," said Debbie Tanna, a Sheriff's spokeswoman.
A tow truck, an animal control officer and an investigator from the Sheriff’s department were summoned, but no law had been broken. The dog didn’t bite a human and was on his owner’s property when the damage occurred.
However, Bass will be billed $504.60 for four new tires.
Thanks to Sling (who seems to have a kinky thing for chick fights).

OK, I wondered right away, "That doesn't sound like a poodle", having owned one. Well, part poodle anyway. But my son has a Boston terrier and I now have a lot of respect for the biting power of terriers, whether it's pit bull or Boston. BTW, with my son's dog, it's now Simon 3, Rabbits 0.

Why would the Bass family have to pay for the tires...now if the deputy had parked in the street I could see why...but the deputy trespassed maybe, or dripped oil, or walked funny....there was a reason the Poodle bull did that. I bet they could have gotten a better tire deal too.

Does the dog attack the family car's tires as well? It would seem like owning a dog like that would not be cost effective.

That was funny, until the owner got billed. We're curious about the previous question. Doesn't seem possible the dog keeps flattening tires on the family car(s). That's some bite, though, to deflate a tire like that.

LOL! Best to keep the dog away from tires in future.
