A few days ago I posted a link to Yes Biscuit showing a segment aired by an ABC News affiliate station WSB-TV in Atlanta which explored the misconceptions many people have about the Humane Society of the United States.
Although dog bloggers have been writing about the hypocrisy of HSUS for some time, this kind of information seldom makes it to the mainstream media. The report clearly showed HSUS as a powerful special interest lobbying group that should not have tax exempt status. Raising funds on false pretenses, only 4 cents of every dollar they collect goes to hands on care of animals.
I hope you saw the report because it’s gone. Gone from Yes Biscuit and the WSB-TV website. Gone from YouTube. Gone from Google.
Gone.
In typical HSUS fashion, their response to any factual allegations seems to be to suppress the message and attack the messenger.
Now we hear that the HSUS is going to join Michael Vick in some sort of public relations ploy. Since HSUS is responsible for killing far more dogs than Michael Vick did, it is quite ironic. Even Michael Vick didn’t kill newborn puppies.
If you think the union with Vick is anything more than an exercise in hypocrisy, I have a free Bulldog for you. All you have to do is pay $150 transportation from Cameroon where a “Christian missionary” is looking for a new home for his beloved dog.
Thanks to Marianne for these links.

it's pretty sad. there is another dog blog that is highly promoting the wonderful things that the HSUS does for animals... so many people just don't know the truth.

I was kind of mad when you and other bloggers started writing about them, but facts are facts.

Grrrrr. We remember that video and story. It was all over the net. And Vick? Even PETA refused to have anything to do with him unless he took a psych evaluation. Is HSUS getting desperate?

I should have checked the link before leaving the above message. When I just clicked on the Yes Biscuit link and then the YouTube video, the video was removed due to copyright claim by Georgia Television Co. That is a valid removal. Yes Biscuit should have linked directly to the TV video/news story. And YT was right to remove the video from their site for that reason.

Wow! I had no idea! Sounds like a cover-up to me. :(

It wasn't just the link at Yes Biscuit that was removed. It was pretty much across the internet if you check the links at the bottom.

Is it possible to censor the internet? That is what the humane society of the united states seems to be trying to do. Why don't they try to answer the charges instead of hiding them and attacting their opponents. what a hateful group.

Is this it?

And can you censor the internet? Of course... China has been doing it for years.

Yes, FL, this is the video. If my the video from Iran is pulled, I'll try to post this one.
Censoring the internet might not be so easy in this country,

Suggest that someone with a fulltime connections put it on thepiratebay.org and demonoid.org as torrents -- once that happens it will spread and become impossible to stop.

Is H$U$ doing this to detract from something else? Removing or having others remove it by claiming "copyright" does belong to the news station, not H$U$. H$U$ is not showing anyone the Katrina proof. Everyone please contact Louisiana AG and ask to have it re-opened. If anything, H$U$ will have to make up expenses, because $34m was not spent on Katrina by H$U$. While the investigation needs to be re-opened, post and re post the video. Who cares if they take it down. that is evidence of guilt. And we know it. We haven't seen anything yet. Just wait.
