I don’t know why they do this. Those of us (e.g., me) with tiny attention spans often forget about watching the show altogether. Thanks to Terry and Sara I did tune in to AGD last night instead of its normal Thursday. And here’s how it went:
The theme was Personality. The first challenge was fun: take it or leave it. Dogs were offered choices of steak, a stick and tofu and the owners had to guess whether they would take it or leave it. J.D. and Galaxy won the challenge.
For the main challenge the owners drew a word and then had to coach their dog on a photo shoot to illustrate that word. The words were regal, curious, lazy, sneaky, joyous, loving, mischievous, stubborn (all right so far) and angry (not a good choice).
Poor Teresa had the job of making Leroy, her sweet laid back Border Collie angry. She managed to do it with a most disturbing picture of a Border Collie, but the judges thought her method was “inhumane.”
I wish they had given the same word to all the dogs and had them give their own personalities to that word. That would have been fair and more interesting.
Teresa and Leroy were selected for the bottom three with Brandy and Beacon (who didn’t look “loving”), and Ron and Tillman. Ron seemed to think he had it made with “lazy” but the judges thought the picture showed his laziness with the most boring Bulldog picture ever.
And so Ron and Tillman were eliminated. Tillman totally didn’t care.
J.D. and Galaxy’s “Sneaky” won Best in show. Bill and Star’s “Stubborn” was great. Those are the two teams I’m picking at this point to go all the way with Laurie and Andrew having an outside chance.
