"The dog ate my law degree"

Nifong
Perhaps as a metaphor for his career in the legal profession, disgraced Durham County North Carolina prosecutor Mike Nifong, saying that the disbarment process was unfair, returned his law degree, which he said he never framed or displayed because it was damaged by “ a puppy in her chewing phase.”

Uh huh.

So, just where was this law degree? On the floor with the tug-a-rope?

do they have lynch mobs at duke for someone like him?

A face that not even a law degree eating puppy could love...

I'm surprised he didn't blame it on the le crosse team..

I would never never never never let my dogs anywhere near my CPA license if they were chewers, which they are not. Mostly they enjoy chewing the discarded tissues in my bathroom wastebasket. So, if his dog ate his law degree, maybe the dog knew something ...

That puppy was a psychic; she knew it was not worth the parchment it was printed on!

I'm going to give him a pass about the puppy chewing on the degree. My current dog chewed up some money that I thought I had left on top of my dresser.

The dresser wasn't a tall one and the paper was not in coins. Luckily it also wasn't that much, just a couple of dollar bills.

I also meant to add that my dog was a puppy at the time.

My dog's puppy-chewing phase has long passed. He may have been accused by the boys of disposing of some of their homework, but he kept clear of the sheepskin.

Ok what is he.....13?

hahaha....sure a funny quote...

i'll keep in mind

So what exactly do we say when the puppy really DID chew things??
We should never cry 'puppy', I guess.

speaking about dog chewing on paper money- wasn't there a case of someone's dog ate a wad of few hundred dollars the other week? i heard the owner had to follow the dog for days when it went outside doing business. the owner did recover some money that way.
