I am not making this up.
Something new for people who treat their dogs like pampered little people in fur coats: wigs for dogs.
Ruth Regina, an eighth generation wigmaker and “Wigmaker for the Stars” has a line of Rugs for Rover.
The “Yappy Hour” is a cascade of curls with openings for ears, held on with an elastic band. It can be made from synthetic or human hair and can be dyed any color.
The “Peek a Bow Wow” falls down over the dog’s face, giving a glamorous look like 1940’s movie star Veronica Lake. It gives the dogs a “come-hither look,” she says.
"Buddy Braids," are held on with clips so they are good for a dog with little hair.
She’s hoping that “mommies of doggies” who treat their dogs like children will be willing to pay “hundreds of dollars” that she expects to charge for the hairpieces.
Does this come close to dog abuse?

Can I get pink highlights to go with my pink sweater?

As asinine as this is you just know that there are going to be lots and lots of people out there who go in for it. It's enough to gag a normal, sensible dog owner lol

now I've heard it all. of course, this coming from the person who has the dogs with the most beautiful hair! poodles rule!

I think this is a great idea. Some of us are not fortunate to be able to conceive a child, so we tend to treat our dogs like babies.
