Thanks for the warning. My mutt will eat just about anything but I haven't seen her go for the sugar free stuff. Yet.

That's creepy, just before i sat down to the computer my dog was sniffing some sugarless gum, i got up and put it uot of her reach.

Thanks for the great info! My shih-tzu loves to eat everything. As a matter of fact, yesterday he ate two or three used muffin cups that I'd tossed into the trash. I'm a little worried about it, but he seems okay.

We'll have to watch him around sugar-free goods.

thanks for the heads up!

My dog chews through denim and leather to get at what she wants. I'm certainly keeping an eye out for anything with that in it!

My dog is in the hospital fighting Xylitol poisoning from eating a package or sugarless Orbit Gum. She has been there for 4 days and there is hope that I can bring her home soon.

Her blood sugar dropped to dangerous levels in 1 hour time. They induced vomiting and prevented some of this gum from being digested.

How can we get the word out to all dog owners?

Its not really surprising that artificial sweetners have that effect on dogs.Just try and put some on an ants nest and watch the ants die ...so apart from killing ants and dogs imagine what it does to us

My dog chews through jean material and set to get at what she wants. I'm certainly maintaining an eye out for anything with that in it.
